Increasing community awareness and education directly from the voices of women instills a realistic awareness of the realities they face. Early in 2010, through a Northern Ontario Violence Prevention Grant, the Society worked together with women in custody to create an educational message about the link between violence and the criminalization of women. Their work was printed and seen travelling throughout the City of Greater Sudbury on the back of a city bus.
